AllertonFox Construction delivered a complete sidewalk vault replacement for Crocs on 34th Street in Manhattan. The project included demolition and replacement of the existing sidewalk, installation of a new structural slab, and replacement of associated structural steel components.
Due to NYC DOT stipulations and the site’s heavy pedestrian volume, construction was executed entirely during night shifts. Operating on one of the busiest blocks in New York City required careful sequencing, controlled access, and close coordination to maintain safety and limit impacts to the public realm.
The work was completed in a single phase and delivered in four months, enabling the reopening of the Crocs flagship store as planned. Through detailed preplanning and consistent field coordination, AllertonFox completed the project ahead of schedule and under budget, providing a reliable solution for a high-profile client in a challenging environment.
